Everything turned on and binded as it should, but the first flight was absolutely terrible…. I was going to give it some slack and blame it on the stock rates and flying with a different transmitter than I am used to, but the flight was absolutely unmanageable. went absolutely out of control in angle mode and shot off before I failsafed it. Upon further inspection, I noticed that he flight controller literally had no mounts at all and it was just bouncing around. Motor wires and VTX antenna were not secured either. I read over 20+ positive reviews on this item and figured that it would be a solid purchase. I’m tremendously disappointed.Update: Luckily the kit came with a few extra mounting screws, stand-offs, and soft mounts. I remounted the FC securely and gave it another flight the next day. For what this is, I must say I am rather impressed. Battery connectors are a pain in the butt, but not unmanageable. I just wish that I could bind my Spektrum Transmitter because I am a “pincher” and the preloaded flight profile has way too much dead room toward center stick. Fun to fly.

After copious amounts of research and hundreds of amazing video reviews for this product, I decided to pull the trigger…and I’m feeling ripped off! The overall feel of the drone is good, feels solid, the FPV gear works well. The drone flies great, easy to control if you are familiar with piloting a drone, it does have some octane! I flew mine for roughly 3-4 mins and started to notice some stability issues. I figured it was low battery, but when I picked the drone up I immediately felt the whole frame shift and move. I thought maybe I had broken something (even though i had not serious crashes) but it turns out, screws had fallen out of the frame! The kit comes with extra screws so I went to fixing and as I took a closer look I noticed almost all the other screws were loose and some were half out. I tried to tighten the loose screws, some snugged up but most of the rest, including those that had fallen out, were stripped! Metal screws into plastic standoffs…dumb! I shouldn’t have to rebuilt a RTF kit out of the box. I hope to get a replacement and if that one sucks I’ll just get my money back. Edit: it’s impossible to fly outside if there is a breeze over 3mph.Edit 2: This is NOT a “beginner” quad. I have logged about 100 hrs in 2 different simulators with drones spec’d as close as i could to THII FS, and i still cannot fly this drone in neither LOS or FPV.

This is a great kit! I am a beginner, and I flew for a few hours on VelociDrone prior to getting this drone. I was a bit shaky and nervous at first, but after flying a few packs I’m very confident. This thing is great for freestyle! I have a lot to say about this quad, so I am going to sum it up with pros, cons, and tips.Pros:-It flew great out of the box for me. The transmitter was already bound, all I had to do was plug in, arm the quad, and fly!-The goggles work great. It is hard to make out minor details of things like, for example, a wire hanging off something, but that isn’t surprising since it’s analog video. Range isn’t great.-The charger works as expected and charges in 45-ish minutes, even with 6 batteries at a time(If you are going to charge more then 2 at a time, do research on how to parallel charge safely.)-The quad has AWESOME power! It does flips, rolls, dives, and and anything in between very well. The rates in acro mode are a bit slow, so you might want to adjust those in betaflight once you want to do faster flips and rolls..-It goes probably 30 mph at the most and packs a good amount of punch! It has plenty of power to catch itself well when coming out of a flip or dive.Cons:-The screws for the front part of my frame came loose within my first few flights. Not a big deal though.-Range is not amazing. I can fly probably a hundred yards away before my video starts cutting out badly. In a big open field with no other interference, I could probably fly a few hundred yards away, but I haven’t really had a reason to test it.Tips:-If you want to adjust your PIDs or rates on betaflight, don’t use the micro-USB cord provided with the kit. It won’t work because it doesn’t do data transfer. Find some other micro-USB cords around your house and try them. A typical Samsung phone charger worked for me.-This drone has a lot of power! Be very careful with the throttle on your first few flights, it is pretty sensitive for a beginner.-Fly in a GOOD simulator before you fly this quad, that way you can get used to acro(doesn’t self-level) mode. I used velocidrone and flew for a few hours to get used to the controls. It was somewhat different in real life obviously, but it’s the same concept.-NEVER pull the batteries out by the wires, always try to pull them out by the plastic part. It’s tough to do because the battery plug is very secure, but it gets easier once you do it a few times. Pulling them out by the wires will break them eventually. To sum this up, I highly recommend this quad! Get some experience in a simulator. It will help a lot. A ps4 controller worked for me in velocidrone. All I had to do was plug it into my computer’s USB. This quad has a lot of power, so be careful on your first flight! This is a great freestyle quad. It doesn’t go too fast, so I would say it’s beginner friendly but definitely don’t buy it for a kid under 13 years old because the throttle is very sensitive, and the drone will crash very hard. Overall, I am very very satisfied with this quad and I am happy I chose to purchase this one.

This thing is awesome. It can really take a beating and it flys right out of the box. No set up necessary.

This is my first fpv drone and it is worth ever penny! I flew R/C planes growing up and decided to see if i would like this hobby and this was a reasonably priced way to try it. This little quad is absolutely amazing! Its fast and maneuverable and can take crashes no problem! Get this and extra batteries because you wont want to stop flying it! The only issue is it made me fall back in love with the hobby after about 20 years away and now I’m hooked again and going to spend a fortune on fpv!

This is a great kit for beginners. You can watch reviews on youtube. There are a couple of key points you need to know if you are a FPV beginner:- You’ll need a 1.5mm metric hex screwdriver. You should tighten all the screws before flying.- Left toggle switch: all the way down is “kill”, middle is “beeper” & up is “arm”. Quad will only arm if throttle is all the way down.- Right toggle switch: all the way down is “beginner” … control movement is toned down, middle is “horizon”, up is “acro”- I use micro needle nose pliers to remove the battery .. do not pull on the wires or they will break!!- This thing is pretty powerful, and you need to make small stick adjustments to control it. MAKE SURE YOU FLY LINE OF SITE (no goggles) until you are used to it. Lots of people lose this on their first flight .. if you are wearing the goggles & give it too much throttle, it will launch 100’s of feet into the air, be blown by the wind & you’ll have no idea where it went. It’s small & hard to find & you can only hear the beeper when you are practically on top of it. If it goes into a tree, it’s not coming down.- Because of the above, it’s best to start flying on a nicely manicured field with short grass (i.e.soccer complex or football field). Stay away from dirt as it will get into the motors.- You can’t wear glasses with the googles & you need to be able to focus close. If you can’t read book w/out reading glasses, they won’t work.- If you can practice on a simulator that would be helpful (you can’t do it with the included controller)… if you can’t, just take it very easy until you are comfortable with the controls that you won’t do something stupid when you get nervous (like launch it into the air 100’s of feet!)- Practice using the kill switch … if it’s getting away from you, hit it. If it crashes, you need to hit it to stop the motors from damaging themselves in the grass or woods.- Don’t fly in the morning on a field with dew .. it will short circuit the quad :(If you can keep from losing it for the first couple of flights, you’ll get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Buy extra batteries…I have 4 sets of 2 which works good for me.Have fun!

Let me start out by saying that this thing is awesome. I am somewhat new to drones and completely new to FPV. I have a DJI Mavic Pro, but even on manual mode that thing basically flies itself. This little drone definitely doesn’t fly itself. It also doesn’t come with an instruction manual! Though one is available on their website. Here are some tips if you’re a new drone pilot buying this drone:1. There are toggles on the top left and the top right of the controller. The left toggle all the way forward arms it, if you think you’re going to crash make sure to flip that switch immediately so you don’t break your propellers. If you lose the drone flip it to the middle at it will beep at you so you can find it. The right switch is the “mode” setting. All the way back is beginner mode, middle is intermediate, forward is advanced. Stick with the beginner for a while as it’s “self leveling” and won’t let you flip.2. There are some video reviews of this drone saying it can be flown indoors. Unless you have a big house or are an experienced drone pilot I really wouldn’t recommend it. Go to a big open grassy field. Also don’t try and make it hover, it’s not great at that. Just fly forward and get the hang of it.3. The battery connectors are very small and a little hard to get out. Don’t pull on the wires to disconnect the battery, it won’t work. Don’t ask me how I know. The quality of the goggles is actually way better than I thought it was going to be. Keep in mind it’s analog not digital so it’s like watching cable back in the day. Honestly my only complaints with this thing is it didn’t come with a manual and I got shorted a mini screw driver that was supposed to come with it.Edit: Apparently no hex screwdriver comes with this kit, so I didn’t get shorted. I’m going to leave it at 4 stars because it should really come with one of those in my opinion.

Very cool. Everything you need to get started in the fpv hobby. It’s a tough little drone for handling crashes and hard landings.
