Flew off on it’s own. I could see it and pushed the RTH button but it was unresponsive. When it hit the ground, it was turned 90degrees trying to fly sideways. Drone was only 200 yards away from me and I had clear line of sight. Two of the folding arms are broken. It was a hard, fast hit.

Finally my fist flight with the HS720 and it was so much fun. The camera worked well, the ability to adjust it is stellar. The drone is quiet, smooth to fly and easy to control. I cannot wait to get another battery so I can extend the flying time. The control works well, I have an iPhone XS Max so it is a little large since it covers some of the buttons on the top of the controller. For the price, this is an excellent choice to get a fold able drone with a long flight time and carrying case.I would buy it again.

1st off I have to say I’m not a pro at drones or leaving reviews. I love to read reviews but don’t care to ever leave one… I’m only leaving one because I wish I would have went a different way from the get.Great drone but for the $$, the dji mini is $400 and is far superior for just 100 bucks more then the 720.I received the 720 drone for Christmas 2019. I loved it at first but I didnt like a few things about it. After more reviews of other drones I ordered a Mavic mini.Partial comparison of the 2:The 720s camera does not correct itself when you fly forward or stop which means when you focus on something moving when your drone is stationary and then press forward, you camera dips down along with the angle of your drone. The dji mavic mini’s cam corrects itself for smooth video that doesn’t lose the subject. The 720 loses signal to the phone by just going 100yards or so while the dji mini took me almost 2 miles away in town without losing signal to my phone. The 720 camera control is not smooth. It has one speed to adjust up or down. The mavic mini can smoothly adjust up or down at the speed you want. The 720 has follow mode while the mavic min does not. The HS720 has 1080p vid while the mavic mini is 720. The 720 battery takes 7hours to charge with an awesome 26min fly time. The mavic mini battery takes around 2hours to fully charge with a 20min fly time (sport mode). The HS720 is a $300 drone that feels like a value of around $250-$300.The mavic min is a $400 drone that feels like your getting a value of $600-$700.I’m just a Christmas newb so if my review helps you then good, if not then leave it. I’ve been flying every day and been loving it.

I don’t know where these great reviews came from but I received this drone and couldn’t get it to hook up to my cell phone. I tried three different phones then I called tech support. Although they didn’t seem to know anything about drones they were pleasant and easy to contact. I returned the drone. Got another drone worked good first time second time took off by itself got it back into control sent it back. No more.

This product was amazing when I first used it for the first two times GPS feature was like I have never used before drone worked to perfection. Then after having two successful flights I decided to take it over the lake to get some great footage. I did calibration and everything preflight that you were supposed to do RED And Green turned solid. I put the drone in automatic takeoff mode the drone instantly started shifting to the right as if only two motors were working then I Immediately pressed return to home, the drone then took off out of my reach and completely lost track of me and crashed to we’re I can’t find in the lake .. I am totally devastated as I had to come back and tell my wife her $300 present was lost in the water and I only used the drones features that were supposed to work.

Was pretty simple,, I did fallow all the instructions everything look , camara ,gps ,atcAnd by the time I put it on the floor a when up and fly a way to never come back.I didn’t have no control over the drone at all,That happened 2 weeks a go and I’m still in shock!!UPDATE !!! after my review i received a email form the company and they offer to send me a new drone which i received in 3 days.after that im been having a total deferen experience with the drone , i already used on diferentes escenarios andis been working according , oslo im been using it for my work as a real estate investor to check the properties from above .after this new experience i fully recommend this drone !

Very disappointed with the purchase of this drone. My first HS720 drone had a vibration that did not allow it to record fluid videos. Holystone sent me a brand new replacement. On the first flight on the replacement drone the Drone took off on its own and I could not control it with the remote. The return to home button will not work although it was registering 14 satellites on the remote. The thing simply took off at high speed on its own, gone!

That’s the deal…5 stars for a free battery…which you’ll never see.To be clear, it’s not a bad drone. It is very sensitive to wind…as my son found out on the first flight. Video is good quality, it takes a while to set up (it’s a strange set up for GPS acquisition). It’s not that it’s a bad drone…but it’s not probably worthy of all the 5 star reviews either. And at the time of ordering you couldn’t buy another battery…and my son’s crash kinda cracked up the original so I went along to get a free battery. That never happened.Original Review.I’ve only played with it a little so far, but I’ve been very impressed. I’m new to the drone and remote control flying world, so it’s been a little bit of an experience. I got everything working and it takes nice video. I’m still learning, but I’ve been impressed with the return feature that brought it back to me after I lost control. The ease of use, and the follow me feature.

UPDATE 2 – I received my 3rd unit. Same setup steps. I go to unlock the props and the unit revs up 3 times quickly… Very strange… The first 2 units did not do this. I decided to see if it would hover. Which is did for a few moments then it trimmed violently right in my fence. It wasnt high enough to cause any damage but I am questioning support once again what might be happening here. I might just be cursed here. Depending on the outcome, this guy, sorry to save, may be heading back to the warehouse.UPDATE – I am now going through some frustrating times. The first couple of flights were terrific. Super stable. GPS lock clearly working. Terribly easy to fly. 3rd session, not even a few moments into the flight, the thing trims by itself into a tree. I couldnt understand it. I decided to have it replaced and received the new unit today. Set it all up, calibrated precisely per instruction once again, and right out of the gate… its all over the place. There is no wind and the unit is drifting around. Altitude is fluctuating too. Something seems terribly off with this unit too. Currently trying to contact Holy Stone for some ideas. Hopefully we can figure something out because I know the capability is there…This was my first drone purchase and after the first flight I am absolutely hooked into this world. The instructions are crystal clear. Wifi connected with ease, controller too. Before ya know it, she is in the air! I was amazed how stable the unit is. My first flight was in the cramped confines of my backyard but I felt plenty safe despite all the trees. Camera quality is about what I expected which is good but not great like my s10 or actual high end cameras. The included case is a fantastic touch along with the extra accessories. My only complaints are the advertised 5 hour charge times. This might not be the worst if another battery was included. Actually I don’t see that extra batteries are in stock which is a bummer. At any rate. Absolutley thrilled! Looking forward to tomorrow’s flight!

Let me start by saying hats off to holy stone and there line of drones. This is my second holy stone drone and could not be happier I started with holy stone with my 120d great drone by the way. My son was really interested in learning to fly drones so I ended up giving my hs120d to my son which needless to say I needed a drone now for myself so I ended up coming back and I was surprised to see the hs720 new drone from holy stone so just like everything I compared all the specs with other drones in its class and let me say this the hs720 was very comparable to top of the line drones that are much more expensive so I figured seeing how I was satisfied with my previous experience with holy stone I would go ahead and order this HS720. Let me say that I am very happy I did its an awesome drone that does exactly what I expected it to do and some. Firstly the drone came with a very durable carrying case that holds drone, controller and extra batteries way cool that I did not have to purchase that. When I opened it up I was very anxious to fly this baby so I quickly was able to look through quick guide to learn how the drone operates and calibrate it etc. Was able to have the app downloaded and drone calibrated in about 5 mins. Now that the drone is calibrated I was ready to test this drone out I was able to hit the take off button and it went up about 5 feet up and hovered very steadly considering it was a little windy out. I flew it about 100 meters out with no issues with wind so I decided to bring it up and send it out a little further I had it close to a mile out with the FPV going and no issues quite amazing for the distance I had it. After about 20 mins I heard my controller beep to let me know it had 2 bars left of battery and an about 4-5 mins later here comes the drone hovering over my head from where I took off from how cool is that I was able to fly my drone out of my sight an it knew to come back when it had low battery. As far as design of this drone it was built solid not cheap plastic which I was also impressed with I honestly think that’s why it handled well in the wind. So far this is my go to drone lately when I want to get good pics/video it has a crisp picture and pretty steady not as shaky as most drone videos are. It has a slot for sd card to record all your pics and videos so I was able to record some awesome footage and watch it on my smart tv in 4k. My overall experience with this drone really has been great and only complaint is I wish the controller was rechargeable but I was able to fix that with buying my own rechargeable batteries which on the controller it shows the battery life of controller and the drone so that way I know when my rechargeable batteries are ready to be charged which is great instead of guessing when its time to charge. Very easy drone to fly so its good for the rookies and the pros I am hard person to impress and I admit that but like I said I could not be happier with this purchase thanks holy stone I look forward to doing more business with you in the future.

Drone w/2K camera that pivots 90 degrees, quiet brushless motors, battery and charger, and an easy to use controller. What else could you want? Oh, maybe a well designed carrying case that stores all of the above perfectly, along with a zippered compartment to store extra batteries, instruction manuals and spare parts. Speaking of spare parts, Holy Stone includes 6 additional prop blades. Outstanding package for the price.

Love this drone, first real drone that has great features to it, I’ve tried low budget drones but this drone is a must have for beginners! The return home feature works great! GPS mode is nice to have, especially if you’re not a fan of keeping your drone hovering manually. Haven’t tried the follow me mode, orbit mode, or programmed route just yet. Looking forward to trying that next!Update: bought another one for a family member as a gift, again really great product, just a side note, make sure you have the GPS calibration completed before you take off, if you have a solid red lights and a solid yellow light instead of green the GPS signal isn’t locked/calibrated! A quick fix is to fly the drone straight into the air a little bit and it’ll get a gps signal, do not attempt to do a return to home when the light is still yellow and not green or else your drone will just land at it’s current position just an fyi! Other than that great for beginners, wifi signal is ok, I’d say about 50m is optimal before you start losing a signal with your cell phone/tablet.Great product Holy Stone!

This is the original unedited video. Bought this drone almost specifically for the follow me feature and the 2k camera. We launched the drone from the moving raft, and it seemed to drift away from us during the following me function causing some concern after a little bit of time. The weather forecast called for 6-10mph gusts and it did seem to be affected by the general breezy conditions in the river valley but it wasn’t too windy as you can see from the video and we didn’t take it up in gusty conditions. We had a really close call in another video while standing on the shore, and it seemed to struggle in the breeze, and we almost lost it over the water, but we were able to get it up just in time. It’s a fast snappy drone, and fun, but it gets exciting when there is a little distance between you and the drone. We will try it again over the river eventually, but before then we will practice a little more with the follow me while riding our bikes on some single track trails to see if there might be some settings that improves the video, and possibly changing a speed setting on the drone itself. I had a hard time deciding between this and a few others like the JJRC X11 or the Hubsan Zino, or the Traxxas, but decided to go with this model for the price point. For a not much more, the DJI Mavic probably would have been my next choice, but didn’t want to spend the extra in cash in case it went in the water. We haven’t yet flown it for over 20 minutes at a time before re-charging the battery to know what the full battery life is yet. The charger does take a crazy longtime to charge the battery even though we haven’t drained it yet. I really like the case and controller, and the way that the controller has the collapsible phone holder instead of the type you have to click in, or screw into the controller keeping the footprint small.

This done is junk. The first one worked great for a couple days. Then, one day, the controller started beeping and all lights on the drone went red. It was unresponsive and flew straight into a group of trees. I got it down but when it fell (about 30 ft) one of the arms broke. I asked for a replacement that arrived in about 8 days. Took it out, followed all instructions perfectly. I thought I would try it inside first to ensure it didn’t do what the other did and because it has a feature with a light for indoor flight. At first it seemed to hover fine. Then, without touching anything, it slowly banked into a wall. I went over and picked it up and discovered another arm was broken. It’s junk. Very expensive junk. Returning for full refund.

We have a mid range drone that we fly it was $2800 dollars, its big and bulky and a pain to carry around. But these little guys are easy to setup, built solid (unexpectedly) i mean really solid the arms are strong. Thing boogies as it flys and stores photos in the app even with no SD card in it! Totally impressed we purchased 2! Had to put a Sky Ronin Decal on ours so we could decipher which one belongs to me or my son lol.

Update 5/24/20: Still going strong after 8 months. I have been flying the HS100 and 700 less and less and have been mainly flying the 720. This is my favorite drone so far. Only thing I do not like is that you can see a bit of the propellers in the video recordings but definitely not a deal breaker.Reading other users reviews, it looks like some users are worry about installing the app. Just an FYI, I actually did NOT install the app and have been flying it just using the remote and it has been working fine for me. I didn’t have to agree to anything and did not agree to anything. Of course, you will not get all the options available using the app but just wanted to clarify that it was not required to install anything to fly the drone for those who prefer not to. Orginal review:Super happy to find the new Holystone HS720 this morning after I read online yesterday that they were coming out with a new 2k camera, brushless engine, foldable drone. Needless to say, I ordered it right away with same day delivery when I finally found it. I could not wait to get home and open the box. The box was very small compared to the HS700 or HS100 box, which make sense since this one is more compact because it is foldable. The HS720, remote and accessories were all sitting inside the case that came with it. The case is very sturdy and I am very pleased that the company included it with the drone for easy transportation. I usually purchase a case separately so this saves me some money. The box also included extra blades. The drone itself is a little bit longer than the palm of my hand. I was worried it would feel light and plastic and would have some issue when it is windy but I was very glad it was not the case. The HS720 feels very solid and looks very nice with the blades/arms unfolded. Not too heavy but solid enough that I am not worry about windy conditions. Given that the weight is about 1lb, registration with the FAA will be required if you are in the US. The remote control runs on 2 AA batteries (finally a remote that you don’t have to charge yay!). Typical of the latest Holystone remotes, smaller, foldable with the cell phone holder at the top and when folded, easily fits in my pocket. I only did a quick test run and the motor is amazingly quiet compared to my other drones. The advertised run time of 26 minutes would be amazing if it really last that long. I just wish it came with a second battery and a faster dual charger because it does take 5-7 hours to charge according to the manual. Not a deal breaker because I am sure replacement batteries will be made available shortly by the company. It would be nice if there was a fast charger or an adapter for the battery so that I could charge it using my standard LiPo charger that I use for my RC Trucks. Overall, I am very pleased so far with this new HS720 drone. Love the fact that it is compact and sturdy. I also love that it can fly it for more than 20 minutes. I am looking forward to fly it at the beach and take some videos with the 2K camera.

Well, had a friend who purchased this after I returned mine being frustrated with the Chinese or Japanese writing and the demand to allow it to control my phone for calls. Wanted nothing to do with that. Then a friend said he didnt have to do that, so I repurchased it. It flies extremely well (I used to fly RC aircraft) and has some wonderful features, such as return to base – which was accurate only 1 in 4 times. I had a 3 ft by 4 foot landing pad in the grass – I had to control it those other 3 times to get it on the pad)A couple things which are not mentioned in the instructions – the distance and altitude units are not mentioned. I am guessing it was in meters, but dont know for sure. The range of my signal (with a brand new phone) was 130 units until the video image was lost. The drone was still controllable. The worst thing about the drone was the video imagery. It broke up frequently even at 12 meters(?) distance with a clear line of sight. It was intermittent and really wrecked some video I was taking. It may be I have a bad antenna or loose connection on the drone, I dont know. Considering returning it again, but will check with HolyStone first as I do like the machine. One other thing I would like to see as an option (maybe it is) is the ability to change camera lenses – its a wide angle lens and I would like perhaps a 2x lens if made.Overall, for learning, its a great machine. For photos – also very good. For video, I have my doubts.

Another fantastic product form Holy Stone. They really stepped it up. This is a great drone with fantastic features. Holy stone was the first indoor drone I bought and I have bought several others. They never let me down. Great customer support and spares availability( I crash a lot). If this is the future of the company, they are going in the correct direction. I love the case it comes in. The remote is comfortable in the hands and fits my iPhone 10. The display is easy to read. The joysticks have a great response and feel sturdy. The buttons are layed out well. This drone has some weight to it. It doesn’t feel cheap. After the set up it’s flight is easy and responsive. It flew very stable in a light wind with minimal drifting. I didn’t get to test the time in the battery but it was about a 15 min flight with more left to go. Auto land works good. Looking forward to putting it through more testing.
